I’m Richard Duckworth and I’m a Qualified Mountain Leader. I have a huge passion for walking in the hills and mountains of the UK and want to share my enthusiasm with you!
I have a true love for the outdoors and have been walking for many years in the moorland, hill and mountain areas of the UK. I have walked several thousand miles in every UK National Park and regularly lead groups in the Lake District, Yorkshire Dales, Peak District, Pennines and Snowdonia. I have been very fortunate to have been trained and assessed over the years by some of the best and most respected outdoor professionals in the UK.
I run guided group walks in some of the UK’s most stunning hill & mountain areas, run map reading courses (beginner through to advanced), support corporate teambuilding days, lead challenge walks and work on NGB walking award training courses too.
I’m a full member of the British Mountaineering Council (BMC), Mountain Training Association (MTA) and the Institute of Outdoor Learning.
I hail from Essex but you’d never believe it! I lived in the South for several years but am now very lucky to live at the foot of the fantastic Howgill Fells in Cumbria.
